Call Poly's planned 2020 Tournament of Roses Float, called "Aquatic Aspirations"

New Year’s Day is months away, but a Central Coast university has announced plans for its annual Tournament of Roses Parade Float. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo officials say the 2020 entry is called “Aquatic Aspirations.”

It will feature animated undersea creatures, like turtles and jellyfish. A Cal Poly submarine will be seen along with the sea creatures. It was chosen from more than 100 proposed designs. Construction is already underway on some of the float’s elements.

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly Pomona have teamed up to create, and build a Rose Parade float for more than 70 years now.
