It’s a story we first told you about in February. Some Central Coast college architectural students are helping a Northern California community ravaged by wildfires come up with some ideas on rebuilding. This week, students in the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo program run by Stacy White and Kent McDonald are in the community of Paradise, as the team presents its final findings to residents.
Paradise was ravaged by the massive Camp Fire last year. The Cal Poly students are doing a string of presentations, and are putting the projects online.
The ideas range from how the town is laid out as it rebuilds, to building homes which are entirely energy self-sufficient.
