A director, screenwriter, and producer behind everything from some of the most iconic “Star Wars” movies to “Raiders Of The Lost Ark” is going to receive a Central Coast film festival’s highest award. Lawrence Kasdan will receive the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival’s 2020 King Vidor Award.
Kasdan’s films include “The Big Chill”, “The Accidental Tourist,” and “The Bodyguard.”
He’ll be honored in a March 21st ceremony at San Luis Obispo’s historic Fremont Theater. Tuner Classic Movies Host Ben Mankiewicz will host a discussion with Kasdan about his career. The 2020 San Luis Obispo Festival runs March 17th-22nd.
