Central Coast Business District Uses Web to Link Businesses, Customers During Coronavirus Crisis

As Central and South Coast businesses struggle to deal with the impacts of coronavirus closures, one community has come up with a cutting edge approach to get cash registers ringing again.

San Luis Obispo's business district has set up an online portal that can help you find out information -- like which restaurants are open for takeout.  It’s called Virtual Downtown SLO.

It has information on what’s open for takeout in downtown San Luis Obispo, and even shows more the location of more than 40 free curbside pickup parking spots.

Bettina Swigger is CEO of the non-profit Downtown SLO business association.  She says the portal also includes stores.

Swigger says they are updating and adding to the information daily.

You can find a link to their website here.
