Cal Lutheran Raises Nearly $2 Million In Special Coronavirus Edition Of Fundraising Campaign

A South Coast university says after changing its annual online fundraising campaign because of the coronavirus crisis, it raised more than triple the money it did a year ago.

California Lutheran University turned its annual Giving Day into Cal Lutheran Cares Day.

It raised more than $1.9 million dollars, including nearly $50,000 for Cal Lutheran students impacted by the coronavirus crisis.

The rest of the money raised is benefitting nearly 20 different areas of the university, ranging from programs to scholarships.
