Cal Lutheran Graduate Named Head Football Coach At Baylor

He played college football at Cal Lutheran in Thousand Oaks, and graduated from the university. Friday, Dave Aranda was named head coach of one of America’s best known college football teams. Aranda is taking over the helm at Baylor.

He had been a defensive coordinator at LSU, helping the team win the NCAA National Championship last Monday night.

Aranda will fill the vacancy created by the departure of Matt Rhule, who left Baylor to become head coach of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. Aranda is inheriting a team coming off a solid season, with an 11-3 record.
