Four hurt in bus accident on Central Coast

The CHP is trying to determine what led to the crash of a bus carrying farmworkers on the Central Coast, which left one person seriously injured and five others with minor injuries.

There were 29 people on board the bus when the accident happened at about 3 p.m. Thursday, on Highway 135 near Graciosa Road near Orcutt. The bus went off the road and rolled, sparking a small brush fire.

The fire destroyed the bus, and burned a little more than a quarter of an acre of brush before it was contained.
