A 400 acre brush fire has forced some evacuations in eastern Ventura County.

No homes have been reported damaged by the Easy Fire, which is between Simi Valley and Moorpark.

It started just after 6 a.m. Wednesday near Easy Street, and has pushed south along Highway 23, in the hills by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Highway 118 remains open in Simi Valley, but Highway 23 is closed from Thousand Oaks to Moorpark.

The Conejo Valley School District cancelled all classes today, as has Moorpark College, and California Lutheran University.

The fire is near the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, but it’s not considered to be immediately threatened. It has been evacuated, and will be closed today.

There are no reports of homes being damaged, with firefighters focused on protecting structures.
