A brush fire is burning in the Santa Ynez mountains, above Santa Barbara and Goleta. It was spotted shortly after 4 p.m. Monday. The fire is burning near East Camino Cielo.
Smoke and flames are visible throughout the Santa Barbara area. There’s no word of any evacuations, but the concern is that gusty wind and the rugged terrain could make it difficult to fight.
