Brush Fire Blackens 800+ Acres In Remote Area Of Eastern Ventura County

A brush fire has blackened more than 800 acres of land Monday in eastern Ventura County, outside of Piru

A brush fire has burned about 800 acres of land in a remote area of eastern Ventura County.

What’s being called the Holser Fire is burning outside of Piru.  An evacuation order has been issued for the Piru Canyon Road area.  The flames are moving east, towards Los Angeles County.

No homes have been reported damaged, but the blaze has created concern for about two dozen houses near Santo Felicia Road.

Ventura County firefighters say a vehicle fire apparently triggered the blaze just after two Monday afternoon.
