Authorities say they’ve raided an illegal marijuana growing operation on the Central Coast, seizing some 14,000 pounds of cannabis in the process.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s investigators say they received information about a possible unlicensed cannabis facility near Buellton.

After getting a search warrant, they searched the property on the 2000 block of West Highway 246, seizing as much as $2 million dollars worth of plants, and processed marijuana.

Detectives say the owner/operator of the facility falsified documents to get a state cannabis license. No arrests were made, but prosecutors are reviewing the case for possible charges.

Investigators say the facility caused some pollution problems for the nearby Santa Ynez River, which could lead to some environmental pollution charges being field.
