Ballots Hitting Mailboxes For Vote By Mail Election In Ventura County

It’s election time in one South Coast community. Voters in part of Santa Barbara will decided two City Council races. Ballots went out this week for the vote by mail election for District 1, and District 2 council members.

There are three candidates for District 1, which includes Santa Barbara’s Eastside. Five candidates are on the ballot for the District 2 race, which includes the Mesa area.

Two other council seats were also up for grabs, but didn’t end up going to voters because the incumbents were unopposed. The vote by mail election is unique in that the city hired Los Angeles County to handle the election.

Voters have until November 5th to return their ballots.
