Bah Humbug; Unemployment Rises Slightly On Central, South Coasts

There’s a little bit of Bah Humbug in the unemployment picture for the Central and South Coasts, with the jobless rate going up slightly. Ventura County’s unemployment rate went from 3.3% in October to 3.4% in November. In Santa Barbara County, the jobless rate went up a tenth of a percent, from an even 3% to 3.1%. And, in San Luis Obispo County, the month to month figure went from 2.4% to 2.5%

Still, unemployment for the region is in the lowest range that it’s been in for decades.

Statewide, unemployment was at 3.9% in November, unchanged from October.
