A twice postponed rocket launch from the Central Coast has been rescheduled for this weekend.

Sunday’s planned launch is an ambitious rideshare project, with plans calling for a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket at Vandenberg Air Force Base to carry a bundle of more than 70 small satellites into orbit.

A company called Spaceflight organized the SSO-A SmallSat Express project, which includes 15 microsats and 56 cubestats from 18 countries. The liftoff was postponed once due to allow more time for preflight preparations, and once due to bad weather. The new launch window opens at 10:32 a.m. Sunday morning.
