Air quality continues to be a concern in Southern Santa Barbara County as a result of the Sherpa Fire.

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department, and the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District re-issued an air quality warning for the southern part of the county. The wind has dispersed some of the smoke, but there are still pockets of poor air quality.

Health officials say if you see, or smell smoke in the air, you should avoid outdoor activity. They say people with health issues like heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should limit time outdoors.
