There’s been a lot of attention during the last few years on the potential causes of autism, and how to help children cope with it.
But what about adults, who often got little or no treatment, and were sometimes even undiagnosed?
Academy Award winning director Gerardine Wurzburg's new documentary looks at just that.
"Wretches and Jabberers" examines the issue of forgotten adults on the autism spectrum, and Wurzburg is bringing the film to Ventura County this week for a free screening.
The documentary will be screened at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks on March 17th, and a discussion with the director and the men featured in the film, Tracy Thresher and Larry Bissonnette, will come afterward.
