An 84 year old Santa Barbara County man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of child molestation and sexual assault. Santa Barbara County prosecutors say Robert Charles Hawley was a serial pedophile who abused members of his family.
Someone called 911 saying they saw Hawley touching a little girl inappropriately in a local supermarket. It led to an investigation and the discovery of multiple victims.
After being convicted of nine counts of child molestation and sexual assault, Hawley is facing a 138 years to life sentence.
