33 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On Central, South Coasts; Total Case Count Approaching 120,000

The COVID-19 death toll continues to grow on the Central and South Coasts, even as the number of new cases is on a dowward trajectory.

33 new deaths were reported Thursday, bringing the total to 1170 in the region since the start of the pandemic.  Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties each had 14, and San Luis Obispo County had five.

The good news is the number of new COVID-19 cases in the three counties continues to trend down.  773 were reported yesterday, with 365 in Ventura County, 241 in Santa Barbara County, and 167 in San Luis Obispo County.

The total number of cases since last year now stands at just under 120,000 for the Tri-Counties.
