Tennis is the name of the game this week in Ventura County.
Close to 1500 competitors are taking part in the 116th annual Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament, better known as “The Ojai.” The tournament is so large it takes place on more than 100 courts in the Ojai, Ventura, and Oxnard areas.
There is play at a number of levels, but one of the biggest competitions is at the collegiate level. The Pac-12, which includes universities like USC, UCLA, Stanford, and Cal, holds its men’s and women’s championships as part of the tennis tournament.
