A 100 acre plus brush fire is burning out of control in the Hill Canyon area of Ventura County, north of Newbury Park in the Santa Rosa Valley.
Ventura County Fire officials say there are 20 to 25 an hour winds. A water treatment plant in the area has been evacuated.
A Red Flag alert for high brush fire danger has been in effect for parts of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties Thursday.
