Some Santa Barbara County families struggling financially because of COVID-19 may be eligible for help in paying their rent.

Nearly $900,000 is available for qualified applicants who live in Carpinteria, Solvang, Buellton, and Guadalupe, as well as in unincorporated parts of the county.

The federal funding is earmarked for families below certain income thresholds which have lost income due to the pandemic.  Approved families can receive up to $5,000 over a three-month-long period.
