Firefighters are dealing with some brush fires Tuesday night off of Highway 101 in Ventura County. The largest blaze is in the Santa Clara Riverbed. The 10 acre plus blaze is near the border of the City of Oxnard, and the City of Ventura.
The fire is in the riverbed, so no structures are threatened. But, the blaze is putting up lots of flames and smoke.
There is a smaller fire near the Highway 101-Highway 33 interchange in Ventura, in the Ventura Riverbed. Again, no structures are in danger.
Meanwhile, firefighters now have 60% containment of a brush fire which started in the Santa Clara Riverbed southwest of Santa Paula around noon Monday. No structures were damaged in that 170 acre blaze.
