Officer Involved Shooting On Central Coast; No One Seriously Injured

Investigators are trying to sort out the circumstances surrounding an officer involved shooting on the Central Coast which fortunately ended with no one being seriously injured.

It happened Friday morning in Guadalupe.  Guadalupe Police responded to reports of a fire in an area of the city where a man considered to be dangerous lived.

What happened next is unclear.  The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation at the request of Guadalupe Police.  But, Sheriff’s detectives say there was a confrontation involving police with the man.

Officers fired non-lethal, and then gunshots at Paul Delgadillo.  No one was hit, and the 40 year old man was taken into custody.   He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, and obstructing an officer.
