A non-profit which provides relief supplies to people hit by disasters around the world has moved its entire operation to Santa Barbara County.
ShelterBox USA has been delivering essential boxes of items like tents, blankets, water filters, and emergency lighting to those in need around the world since the year 2000.
The relief group opened an office in Santa Barbara five years ago. It's President is based in the city. This summer, ShelterBox USA moved its financial operations from Florida, making Santa Barbara its official headquarters.
The agency is a two time Nobel Peace Prize nominee, being considered as one of the honorees in 2018 and 2019.
