A Ventura County man is facing manslaughter, and driving under the influence charges after a head-on crash between a car, and a scooter.
It happened just after 9 Monday night, on Pleasant Valley Road just east of Oxnard.
CHP investigators say Jacob Caliboso of Oxnard was driving west when he crossed over the two lane road’s center line, and hit the oncoming eastbound scooter. The driver of the motorbike, Elva Andrade, died at the scene. Her passenger, a seven year old girl, was seriously injured.
The driver of the carf was unhurt.
