Santa Barbara County Court System Extends Coronavirus Related Shutdown Into May
Santa Barbara County’s court system has extended its systemwide closure due to coronavirus concerns for another month. The shutdown will now continue to at least May 23rd. All traffic and non-traffic fines, community service completion dates, and traffic school completion dates have been extended by 90 days.
Access to the court for the few proceedings underway is limited to attorneys, witnesses, victims, other court authorized personnel, and the media. People must following social distancing guidelines, and wear masks and gloves in public areas.
The Superior Court Clerk’s offices are also closed, but people can complete court filings online.
