Central Coast College Back From Spring Break, Even Though Classes Are Now Online

It may not be in classrooms, but it’s back to school for students at a Central Coast college. Allan Hancock College officials are urging students to keep up their studies, with classes now being offered via remote technolgy.  They say it could be tempting for students to drop out or withdraw from classes because of the emotional and financial impacts of the coronavirus crisis.

The college’s foundation has worked with the college to set up an emergency fund for students, as well as to expand the college’s student food bank. Some of the special service programs are also providing help online.

Hancock has about 11,500 students a semester at its four campuses in Santa Maria, Lompoc, the Santa Ynez Valley and Vandenberg Air Force Base.
