State Calls For Cancellation Of Large Group Gatherings In Light Of Coronavirus Concerns

The State of California is calling for restrictions on public gatherings in light of the continuing spread of coronavirus. The governor and state health officials say large gatherings involving 250 or more people should be postponed, or cancelled. It includes events like concerts and sporting events.

Officials also say smaller events should be cancelled or rescheduled if they are in places which don’t allow at least six feet of social distancing between people. It includes meetings in auditoriums or other venues.

And, the state also says gatherings of people for high risk of COVID-19 should be limited to no more than ten people. It includes places like retirement homes.
