Investigators Believe Family Disturbance Leads To Death Of Ventura County Woman

Detectives think a family disturbance led to the murder of a Ventura County woman. Police officers and firefighters were called to a home on the 900 block of Woodland Drive in Thousand Oaks Tuesday afternoon by reports of a woman not breathing. They found a 66 year old woman with multiple stab wounds, as well as an injured 31 year old man.

They were taken to a hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead. The man is reported to be in stable condition.

Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives are still trying to determine exactly what happened, but say it appears it was a family disturbance which turned violent. No suspects are being still sought. The names of the two people haven’t been released yet
