Three peopel were arrested, and a fourth is still being sought following a pursuit on the Central Coast

People in a normal quiet Central Coast community are still talking about a wild pursuit which led to the lockdown of a popular park, and the arrest of three people. It started at around 10:30 Wednesday morning, when Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies tried to stop a car for speeding at the Highway 246/Purisima Road roundabout.

The driver refused to stop, and sped towards Buellton at speeds approaching 100 miles an hour. The car was involved in two minor collisions, which prompted deputies to drop the pursuit out of concerns for public safety.

The car stopped near Hans Christian Anderson Park, and the four people in the car fled on foot. Three were quickly arrested, and are in custody for a variety of charges. A fourth person is still being sought. The park was put on lockdown while the search was underway yesterday. No one was hurt.
