Santa Barbara County Woman Facing Charges Over Attack During Court Ordered Supervision With Son

Detectives say a Santa Barbara County woman was arrested in Montana after she tried to abduct her son in a violent attack during court ordered supervision. Investigators say Theresa Colosi was in the parking lot of a Goleta bowling alley Sunday morning when she hit a woman providing supervision with a metal object. The victim told the 12 year old boy to run into the bowling alley for help, which he did.

Detectives say Colosi fled the scene and drove to Lompoc, where she had a chartered jet waiting. They say prior to the incident, she had given away her possessions, and withdrawn $900,000 from a bank account. The jet took her to Montana.

Detectives received information she might be hiding out in the Whitefish, Montana area. Police there arrested her Wednesday morning on attempted murder and attempted child kidnapping charges.
