A South Coast bicyclist who was apparently riding at night without a light was stuck, and killed by a SUV. It happened just after 12 Friday morning, on Modoc Road near Encore Drive.
CHP officers say the bicyclist was riding outside of the bike lane, didn’t have a light on the bike, and wasn’t wearing a helmet. The name of the cyclist, who was a Santa Barbara man, hasn’t been released.
