A Ventura County man has been arrested after police say he approached a child in the parking lot of a school, and tried to get him to leave with him. Oxnard Police say it happened Thursday morning in the parking lot of Sierra Linda Elementary School.
Detectives say Cesar Fausto walked up to a student, and held out his hand, asking the child to go for a walk with him. The boy ran away to safety.
The 47 year old Oxnard man left the campus, but school staff members were able to catch and hold him until police arrived. Fausto was arrested on attempted kidnapping, and causing a disturbance on a school campus charges.
