A DUI driver who caused a crash which left two women dead in Santa Barbara County is going to spend at least the next two decades behind bars.
Santa Barbara County prosecutors say Cameron Wesley Oliver entered guilty pleas to multiple charges, including second degree murder.
Oliver was driving on Highway 135 between Santa Maria and Orcutt last February when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed.
Passengers Leann Stauffer and Tricia Jensen were fatally injured. Prosecutors say Oliver’s blood alcohol level at the time was more than double the legal limit.
The Santa Maria man had a prior DUI conviction. He’ll get a 24 years to life sentence when he returns to court in April.
