Firefighters say this could be a very difficult weekend as they try to get control of the massive Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

The latest weather forecast calls for the potential for sundowner winds for Southern Santa Barbara County overnight Friday into Saturday. Then, the winds are expected to shift on Saturday, setting the stage for Santa Ana winds in Ventura County for the rest of the weekend.

The fire continues to burn out of control, charring 256,000 acres, which is about 400 square miles of land. Containment is at 35%.
