Bear Attacks Man In Ventura County

A man working at a Ventura County ranch has quite the story to tell.  He was attacked by a bear.

It happened Saturday morning, just outside of Santa Paula.  The man told Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies he was working on the ranch when the bear attacked him.

Details of the attack haven’t been released, but the man apparently escaped with minor injuries.  He was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is investigating the incident.  They say it’s not uncommon to find bears on property near undeveloped mountains and hills.
