The COVID-19 Numbers Remain Low; 66 New Cases Reported On Central, South Coasts

Ventura County has its lowest daily count of 2021

The positive progress against COVID-19 on the Central and South Coasts is continuing, with just 66 new cases reported Wednesday.

There were only 11 in Ventura County, 29 in Santa Barbara County, and 26 in San Luis Obispo County. Wednesday is the first day for San Luis Obispo to be in the state’s Orange COVID-19 reopening tier, which is allowing additional indoor capacity at places like restaurants and gyms.

Two more COVID-19 related deaths were reported Wednesday, with one in Ventura County, and one in Santa Barbara County.
