New COVID-19 Case Count Easing On Central, South Coasts But Deaths Continue

`1700+ COVID-19 related deaths in region since start of pandemic

COVID-19 case number continue to ease on the Central and South Coasts, but we are still seeing some deaths related to the virus. Four additional deaths were reported Thursday.

There were two in Ventura County, and two in Santa Barbara County, brining the total since the start of the pandemic to 1709.

108 new cases of the virus were reported in the Tri-Counties. Ventura County had 38, Santa Barbara County 42, and San Luis Obispo County 28. Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties are in the state’s Orange reopening tier, while San Luis Obispo County is still trying to move from Red to Orange.
