Million-Light Show Provides Safe Drive Through Holiday Entertainment On South Coast

The COVID-19 crisis has cancelled holiday stage shows, and shut down movie theaters during one of the busiest times of years for entertainment.

Some enterprising people have come up with what they think is a safe, family friendly alternative.  It’s a drive-through holiday light show at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, featuring more than a million lights.

The massive show created by Las Vegas based Q Entertainment takes vehicles on a mile and a quarter path through the fairgrounds.

A team of 16 workers worked to create the custom displays.  The company brought in some of its team from Las Vegas, but also put some out of work theater stagehands from the South Coast to help with the project.

“Holidays in Your Car” runs though January 2nd at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.  You can find more information here.
