South Coast Art Museum Welcomes Visitors Again After Being Closed For Months By Pandemic

A South Coast art museum is welcoming visitors back fro the first time since the start of the pandemic.  The Santa Barbara Museum of Art reopened for members this week, and will reopen to the public later this month.

Because of safety concerns, the museum can only operate at 25% of capacity.  To manage crowds, the museum is using reserved, time tickets for admission.  They are free, but you need to get them online at https://bit.ly/30Aadcu

The pandemic also delayed work on the museum's $50 million nollar plus renovation and expansion project, but it's on track to be completed this fall.  It will take a few months for artworks to be installed in the revamped sections of the museum.
