Four New Coronavirus Related Deaths Reported On Central, South Coasts

Four new coronavirus related deaths were reported on the Central and South Coasts today, bringing the region’s total to 237.  Ventura County had two additional deaths, as did San Luis Obispo County.  Ventura County has now had 118 deaths, Santa Barbara County 97, and San Luis Obispo County 22.

144 new coronavirus cases were reported in the region today, with 53 in Ventura County, 64 in Santa Barbara County, and 27 in San Luis Obispo County.

Ventura County has had 10,943 cases, Santa Barbara County 8,361, and San Luis Obispo County 3,047.  Nearly 22,400 cases have now been documented in the region, with most of those diagnosed already recovered.

All three counties remain at the state’s furthest level from full reopening.  The counties need to reduce their numbers of daily new diagnosed cases, as well as the percentage of those testing positive to get off the list.
