Confirmed Coronavirus Case Count On Central, South Coasts Now Tops 14,000; Death Toll Hits 111
The total number of coronavirus cases on the Central and South Coasts has now pushed past the 14,000 mark.
Ventura County has had 6,830 cases, Santa Barbara County 5836, and San Luis Obispo County 1644. The region’s total is now at 14,310. mark. Most of those with diagnosed with the virus in the region have already recovered.
There have been 111 deaths, with 70 in Ventura County, 32 in Santa Barbara County and nine in San Luis Obispo County. Ventura County had three additional deaths, and San Luis Obispo County one.
All three counties are still on the state’s watch list for failing to meet all of the safe reopening criteria. The state stands at 459,000 confirmed cases, with 8400 deaths.
