Santa Barbara County Gives Approval To New Waves Of Reopenings; Schools, Gyms, Bars Included

SBSTREET_0.JPEG

It’s some of the biggest reopening news yet for Santa Barbara County, with everything from schools to movie theaters getting clearance to reopen.

The state gave counties the latitude to reopen more sectors closed by coronavirus.   Now, Santa Barbara County Public Health Officer Dr. Henning Ansorg is allowing many of them in the county to reopen as soon as Friday.

The list includes hotels and motels, bars and wineries, schools, childcare programs, day camps, movie theaters, zoos, and museums.

Reopening businesses, and institutions must meet social distancing protocols.  Before they reopen, they have to complete attestations with the county to insure they understand, and are ready to comply with specific guidelines concerning their operations.
