A picturesque organized walk on the Central Coast this weekend is directly fundraising to support mental health community services

The benefits of walking for our mental health are well-documented.

What better way to raise money for two mental health charities – Mental Wellness Center and One Mind - than spending around two hours on Saturday taking in the spectacular views across the Santa Rita Hills, as part of the Peace of Mind: 10,000 Steps in the Right Direction.

Debra Eagle is the General Manager of Alma Rosa Winery – where the fundraising walk takes place.

She says the walk is organized to support mental health community services and research and treatment for anxiety and depression.

Alma Rosa Winery Proprietors Bob & Barb Zorich are matching the first $35,000 in donations to each organization, totaling $70,000.

Here is the linkto register for the walk ($55 per person) which will take place at the estate on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. The walk begins at 9 a.m. and will take most people about 1.5 - 2 hours to walk while enjoying spectacular views of the vineyards and Sta. Rita Hills.
