I beg your pardon, it's costing HOW MUCH for a rose garden?

The price of flowers has risen substantially because of supply chain issues

Well, maybe not a garden, but for anyone hoping for a bunch of roses this Valentine's Day... it’s more expensive than ever to buy flowers this Valentine’s Day.

While the demand for flowers is at a high on Valentine's Day, the supply has been low — with prices rising by at least 20%.

Ali Pazoki at Blue Violet Flowers in Thousand Oaks says it’s been challenging to meet the demand on one of their busiest days of the year.

"This one and usually Mother's Day are the big ones. It's hard to find flowers right now and prices are definitely up, so it's kinda tough," he told KCLU.

If you’re thinking of getting chocolate instead, well, that’s risen in cost by nearly 10% this year.

So maybe this is the year to buy that diamond…or…y’know, stay single.
