Metrolink services have expanded to include Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura-East.

Travel from Ventura County to Los Angeles set to get easier this weekend.

Connections to and from three additional Ventura County stations, to the Ventura County Line, will commence this Saturday, August 14.

Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura-East are being added to the Metrolink return service to Union Station.

Darren Kettle, the executive director of Ventura County Transportation Commission, says the extended service has been planned for some time, but was delayed by the pandemic.

"You can now be anywhere in Ventura County and make a relatively quick drive to a Ventura County railway station, and then take the train in to visit not just L.A. activities, but there are a number of other stops." he told KCLU News. "It's an alternative to sitting in bumper to bumper traffic in the car on the freeway and you have the comfort to be able to take the train."

Metrolink train times can be seen here.
