Voters in Santa Barbara County may look at Measures G and H as somewhat similar, but there's a difference that requires a second look.
The measures are all about mapping the county's supervisorial districts.
Measure G requires an 11 member independent redistricting commission that would act independently of the board of supervisors when coming up with district boundaries.
Measure H would create an independent redistricting committee with 5 members.
Supporters of Measure H say it's a better measure because it was put on the ballot by citizens, while Measure G was put on the ballot by the board of supervisors.
