Call From Eyewitness Leads To Two Arrests For Graffiti On South Coast

After days of seeing new graffiti tags on the westside of Santa Barbara, residents have been keeping their eyes out for vandals.

Monday around noon, an eyewitness called 911 as a tagging was taking place.

Several officers came to the Bohnett Park area on Anapamu and San Pascual Streets.

The officers saw the tags along with two suspects heading down the railroad tracks.

The eyewitness who called the police helped identify the two as those responsible, and the two male youths were taken in.

A crime scene investigator took photos of the graffiti in many areas, which included public and private fences, walls, bridges, signs, and walkway pillars.
