Do you remember your school prom? It’s one of the biggest nights for a High School student, but looking the part can cost hundreds of dollars.

High School Prom. It’s all about what you wear? Right? But for many, the cost of a prom dress can be a barrier to attending.

"There's a level of stress not knowing if you'll be able to go because you can't afford the dress," explained Dani Hutchison, director of development from South East Ventura YMCA. The organization have been collecting gently used and new prom dresses, and will set up a pop-up boutique for students to find their gown for free.

"We want to help send them to prom, so we are collecting dresses, tuxes and shoes and accessories. This gives them an opportunity to 'shop' for a dress that's exciting and have a shopping experience and find what they want to wear," she said.

The dresses need to be delivered to Westlake Village YMCA by Tuesday morning.
