Storms? The next week is going to be a busy one, with more on the way for the Tri-Counties

KCLU
Montectio had some heavy rainfall, but no problems this week. Another major storm system is on the way.

A system expected Monday night and Tuesday could be more powerful than this week's main event.

Friday’s nice weather is literally the calm between a series of storms impacting the Tri-Counties.

Another system will hit parts of the region Saturday. It could bring a quarter of an inch to an inch of rain to the Central Coast. But, the rain isn’t expected to make it to the South Coast. It’s basically expected to be dry south of Santa Barbara.

Then, a storm coming early next week is shaping up to be a big one. Meteorologists say it has the potential to bring more rain than this Wednesday and Thursday’s system. Coastal and inland areas could see 2-4” of rain, with 4-8” in the mountains. The exact timing of the storm’s arrival is unclear, but forecast models suggest it could be Monday night into Tuesday.

Looking down the road, there’s the potential for yet another major storm for the following weekend.
